DAY 1 | Arusha → Tarangire National Park

Your safari adventure begins in Arusha, Tanzania’s vibrant gateway city. After a morning briefing with your professional guide and a final vehicle check, you will depart for Tarangire National Park — approximately a 2–2.5-hour drive southwest through the colourful landscapes of Maasai country.

Upon arrival at the park gates, you will begin your afternoon game drive through one of Tanzania’s most underrated parks. Tarangire is renowned for its enormous elephant herds — often numbering in the hundreds — as well as its ancient baobab trees and the life-sustaining Tarangire River that draws a remarkable concentration of wildlife.

DAY 2 | Karatu → Serengeti National Park Rise early for a hearty breakfast at Karatu Farm of Dreams before embarking on the drive to the crown jewel of Tanzania — the Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the fertile Ngorongoro highlands, past the bustling village of Karatu and through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, offering scenic views of the crater rim before descending into the vast Serengeti plains.

Upon crossing into the Serengeti, the endless golden savanna stretches as far as the eye can see. You will enjoy your first afternoon game drive in the Central Serengeti (Seronera Valley) — one of the most wildlife-rich areas in the world year-round. Large prides of lions, cheetahs in full sprint, and dense herds of plains game make for extraordinary sightings.

DAY 3 | Full Day — Serengeti National Park
Today is a full, uninterrupted day in the Serengeti — one of the most extraordinary wildlife days you will ever experience. Begin with a pre-dawn wake-up and an early morning game drive as the golden sunrise illuminates the plains. Dawn is when predators are most active, making this the prime time for witnessing lions returning from a night hunt or cheetahs setting off in search of prey.
Depending on the season, you may encounter the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration — the largest movement of animals on Earth, with over 1.5 million wildebeest accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles. Your expert guide will know exactly where to position the vehicle for the most dramatic sightings.
The afternoon is equally thrilling — game drives continue across different sections of the park, exploring varying habitats from open grasslands to acacia woodlands and granite kopjes (rocky outcrops) that serve as favourite rest spots for lions and leopards.

DAY 4 | Serengeti → Ngorongoro Highlands (Crater Rim)
After breakfast at your camp, you will depart the Serengeti and make your way eastward toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The drive is itself a spectacular journey through changing landscapes — from flat open savanna to the dramatic highlands of the Ngorongoro escarpment.
En route, you will enjoy a game drive through the conservation area, where the open plains support free-roaming wildlife including elephants, lions, and Maasai cattle coexisting in a unique multi-use ecosystem. As you ascend toward the crater rim, the temperature drops noticeably and misty forests of giant heather and Hagenia trees create an ethereal highland atmosphere.
Your lodge sits on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, offering breathtaking panoramic views into the caldera below. As the sun sets over the crater’s edge, you will be treated to one of the most extraordinary views in all of Africa.

DAY 5 | Ngorongoro Crater Full-Day Game Drive → Arusha Departure
The finale of your safari is a descent into one of the world’s most remarkable natural wonders — the Ngorongoro Crater. After an early breakfast at the lodge, you will descend 600 metres down the steep crater walls to the caldera floor, a self-contained ecosystem roughly 260 square kilometres in area and home to an estimated 25,000 animals.
The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the finest locations in Africa to spot the Big Five in a single day. The resident black rhinoceros population is one of the last viable populations in Tanzania, making a rhino sighting here truly special. The crater also supports dense lion prides, large elephant bulls, enormous buffalo herds, and a shimmering soda lake populated by tens of thousands of flamingos.
After a full morning of outstanding game drives, you will enjoy a well-deserved picnic lunch on the crater floor — a remarkable setting surrounded by wildlife. Following lunch, there is time for a final afternoon game drive before ascending out of the crater and making the approximately 3-hour drive back to Arusha.
