Your safari begins with a morning pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha. Meet your Marhaba Escape Safari guide before taking the short drive to Arusha National Park, situated at the foot of Mount Meru.

Upon entering the park, begin with a morning game drive through its diverse landscapes. The scenery changes from lush montane forest to open grasslands, wetlands, and the picturesque Momella Lakes.

Keep watch for giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, bushbucks, antelopes, and other wildlife. The park is also known for its primates, including black-and-white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys, while the lakes attract flamingos and numerous other bird species.

Later, leave the vehicle behind for a guided walking safari of approximately three hours accompanied by an armed park ranger. Walking through the forest, open clearings, and scenic trails gives you a different perspective of the ecosystem, allowing you to appreciate smaller wildlife, plants, animal tracks, insects, birds, and other details that can easily be missed from a safari vehicle. Depending on the selected trail, the walk may also lead toward waterfalls and other scenic points.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive. Later, leave the park and transfer to your lodge or camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, return to Arusha National Park for another day of exploration.

Begin with an optional canoeing safari on the Momella Lakes, offering a peaceful way to experience the park from the water. Paddle across the calm surface while surrounded by the park’s volcanic scenery and abundant birdlife. Depending on the season, flamingos and other waterbirds may be visible around the lakes.

The lakes also provide beautiful views toward Mount Meru, while on exceptionally clear days, Mount Kilimanjaro may be visible in the distance.

After the canoeing experience, continue with a game drive through different sections of the park. Your guide will look for wildlife and help you discover areas that offer different scenery and viewing opportunities from the previous day.

Enjoy lunch before beginning your return journey to Arusha in the afternoon.

Your 2-day Arusha National Park safari concludes with a transfer back to your accommodation in Arusha or onward to the airport, depending on your travel arrangements.
