Begin your journey with three days of relaxation and exploration in Zanzibar, surrounded by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and the island’s tropical coastline.

Spend your days relaxing on white-sand beaches, swimming in turquoise waters, or enjoying the slower pace of island life. For those looking to explore, a variety of optional experiences can be arranged, including a visit to Stone Town, a trip to Prison Island, the famous Nakupenda Sandbank, snorkeling excursions, sunset dhow cruises, and dolphin-watching experiences.

You can also simply enjoy the beach, take a leisurely walk along the coastline, or relax beneath the shade of a palm tree. These first three days provide time to unwind before continuing to the wildlife-rich landscapes of mainland Tanzania.

After breakfast, transfer to Zanzibar Airport for your domestic flight to Arusha. Upon arrival, your Marhaba Escape Safari guide will welcome you and begin your mainland safari.

Continue toward Tarangire National Park, one of northern Tanzania’s most distinctive wildlife areas. The park is particularly famous for its large elephant herds, enormous baobab trees, open savannah, woodland, and the Tarangire River.

During your game drive, look for elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, antelopes, and a variety of bird species. With luck, you may also encounter lions, leopards, or other predators moving through the park.

As the afternoon progresses, continue your game drive before leaving the park for your luxury accommodation. Enjoy dinner and a relaxing evening surrounded by the peaceful atmosphere of northern Tanzania.

After breakfast, depart Tarangire and continue toward Serengeti National Park. The journey takes you through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania before reaching the vast plains of the Serengeti.

As you enter the Serengeti, the landscape opens into one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife environments. After arriving in the Central Serengeti, continue to your luxury lodge or camp for lunch and some time to relax.

In the afternoon, head out for your first game drive in the Central Serengeti. The region supports abundant resident wildlife throughout the year, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and numerous antelope species.

Depending on the season, large herds associated with the Great Migration may also be present in different parts of the Serengeti ecosystem.

Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, set out on a morning game drive through the Central Serengeti.

The cooler morning hours provide excellent opportunities to observe wildlife as predators and herbivores become active across the plains. Search for lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, giraffes, and other wildlife while your guide selects areas based on current conditions and recent sightings.

Continue your game drive before beginning the journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As you leave the Serengeti plains behind, the landscape gradually rises toward the cooler highlands surrounding the crater.

Arrive in Karatu in the evening and check into your luxury accommodation. Enjoy dinner and relax ahead of the following day’s Ngorongoro Crater experience.

After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Tanzania’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.

Descend approximately 600 metres to the crater floor and begin your final game drive. The crater’s enclosed ecosystem supports an exceptional concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and other species.

The crater also offers an opportunity to search for the endangered black rhinoceros, while its lakes and wetlands attract flamingos and other birdlife. The combination of wildlife and dramatic volcanic scenery makes the crater a fitting finale to your safari.

After your game drive and lunch, ascend from the crater and begin the drive toward Arusha.

Upon arrival in Arusha, your Marhaba Escape Safari services conclude with a drop-off at your hotel, Arusha Airport, or another agreed location according to your onward travel arrangements.
