Your safari begins with an air transfer from Arusha to Serengeti National Park. The flight allows you to avoid a long road journey and maximize your time exploring the Serengeti.

Few places compare with the Serengeti. Its enormous plains, seasonal rivers, rocky kopjes, and scattered woodlands create one of Africa’s most important wildlife ecosystems. The park is particularly famous for the annual Great Migration, when vast numbers of wildebeest move across the ecosystem in search of fresh grazing and water, accompanied by large herds of zebra and other antelopes.

The Serengeti, however, is much more than the migration. Resident wildlife can be encountered throughout the year, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hyenas, and numerous other species.

Over your two nights in the park, enjoy game drives designed to make the most of your time in the Serengeti, with your guide adapting the daily schedule to wildlife activity and your preferences.

After breakfast, head out for your final game drive in the Serengeti. Take advantage of the cooler morning hours to explore the plains and search for wildlife before beginning your journey toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Enjoy lunch during the day’s safari before continuing toward the Ngorongoro highlands. As you leave the Serengeti behind, the scenery gradually changes from open plains to the elevated landscapes surrounding the Ngorongoro Crater.

Arrive at your accommodation near the crater rim in the afternoon or evening. Settle in, enjoy dinner, and relax as you prepare for the following day’s exploration of the crater.

After breakfast, descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive.

The crater is one of Tanzania’s most extraordinary wildlife environments. Its steep volcanic walls surround a remarkably diverse ecosystem of open grasslands, acacia woodland, wetlands, and seasonal water sources.

Once on the crater floor, you may encounter large concentrations of wildlife within relatively short distances, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, gazelles, hippos, hyenas, and numerous bird species. The crater also offers one of the better opportunities in northern Tanzania to encounter the endangered black rhinoceros.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site while surrounded by the dramatic scenery of the crater before continuing your game drive.

After exploring the crater, ascend the steep crater track and continue to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park, travelling through the changing landscapes of northern Tanzania.

Tarangire is particularly renowned for its large elephant populations, ancient baobab trees, and diverse habitats. The Tarangire River and other seasonal water sources attract wildlife during the dry season, creating excellent opportunities for game viewing.

Explore the park on a game drive through open savannah, acacia woodland, seasonal wetlands, and areas of dense vegetation. Watch for elephant families gathering around water, alongside giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, impalas, and other antelopes.

The park also supports a variety of predators, including lions and leopards, as well as an impressive diversity of birdlife.

After your game drive and lunch, continue to your luxury accommodation for dinner, relaxation, and overnight.

Begin your final morning with an early game drive in Tarangire National Park. The cooler morning hours provide an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife before the day’s heat increases.

Continue exploring the park and make the most of your final opportunity to photograph Tarangire’s wildlife and landscapes. After the game drive, enjoy lunch before departing the park and driving toward Arusha.
